Looking forward to some cool new products this year... like Apple's "iSlate" on Jan 26th, better Androids, and, of course, Grabbit ;-).
California trans-fat ban goes into effect today... about time! I can't believe the idiots who are against it... do they have a death wish?
Happy New Year! I'm for calling it twenty-ten, but I hear a lot of two-thousand-ten's out there. Either way, hope it's a great one for you!
Thanks to all my friends for their support & encouragement! Happy to report that I'm healing faster than expected, with an A+ prognosis!
Gazing down on my scar from heart surgery is weird..looks like I've been cut in half...like some crazy magic trick gone horribly wrong!
Good to be back home resting after my surprise triple bypass ... sure do love to feel it beating so strongly after all it's been through!
So, 9 days & 1 triple-bypass later, I'm committed to new beginnings, seeing more wonder, and savoring every moment as a precious gift.
People say I look young for my age, I keep myself in decent shape, I gobble health food & vitamins, but I still get a damn heart attack!
Well, tonight's the last night I'll be going to bed without some veins from my leg grafted onto my heart... weird.
Got to see a video of my heart working during my angiogram... cool! Not so cool: getting tranferred to SF for triple-bypass on Thursday.
Hospitals in Silicon Valley should be better at fixing geeks, right? ;-).
Thanks to @lisapadilla for her support while I'm in the hospital, and also to the many well-wishers! :-).
I've had really bad asthma since I was born, and now it looks like the asthma meds may have weakened my heart... in the cardio ward now :-(.
Thanksgiving holiday is over... nice to have a few quiet days to get some work done ;-).
I just changed a lightbulb, and since it only took me, there was no material for classic lightbulb comedy :-(.
SEO Aphorisms Dept. "Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive... search engines!"
Grabbit is finally off the dev servers and running in the cloud... yay! It makes Web 2.0 seem so quaint ;-).
Still grooving on the White House switch to drupal! Tim likes it: http://radar.oreilly.com/2009....
Great Grabbit lunch with John Furrier/@furrier, Peter Karnig/@pkarnig, and Lisa Padilla/@lisapadilla at Central Park Bistro in San Mateo.
Comcast buying NBC will position them as a web content colossus via simple re-purposing... goodbye set-top box, hello IPTV!
Short Attn. Span Dept: Twitter is the "blipvert" of content ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki....
Long day, but lots of progress on Grabbit... phew! @lisapadilla is working too hard, trying to get her to rest a bit!

Just heard a good one: If you watch Jaws backwards you see a shark that pukes up so many people they have to make a beach to hold them all!
With Google Apps, Chrome browser, Chrome OS, & Go programming language (http://arstechnica.com/open-so...) Google's Microsoft assault is almost complete!
Google really does want it all: their Chrome browser is out, Chrome OS is coming soon, & now, ta-da, a new programming language called "Go."
