yes. Because my phone was a refurb it was never linked directly with my friends mom's account. So if I'm very lucky I should be able to give someone with a wireless account that is in good standing with at&t my imei number and they could potentially get it unlocked via the simple website. ....I've never even cracked a phone screen before, then tonight on the walk home dropped my phone and it is not unusable. I Live on my phone, I have no idea what I am going to do now... I have an iphone 4s, but it is locked to at&t still and I'm on T-Mobile.. kind of in shock not sure what I'm going to do without a phone
Sign up to your local Freecycle list. I often see people posting wanting free phones and they seem to get them, too. That way you can get something compatible with T-mobile until you figure out what to do. For what it's worth, I used a service to repair my iPad screen when I broke it.
