Serena Williams has no regrets about threatening line judge which lost her the match. I think she should be sanctioned for her behavior.
It stopped raining at the U.S. Open. The last American in contention, Serena Williams, just lost the first set in the women's semis.
Wow. Serena loses her cool after getting called for a foot fault, threatens the line judge, and gets a point deducted which costs her the match. - scott anderson

As Android gets injected into more and more device types, I would expect the services that unite these devices to become more valuable and to provide more utility than the devices themselves. This will be a good thing for the Android OS, as it will be able to stay slim and easily portable. - scott anderson

"Starting Sept. 29, most cars traveling east on Market will be banned beginning at Sixth Street. Eastbound cars will be encouraged to turn right on 10th Street - and if they don't, they must turn right once they get to Eighth Street. Any cars that get onto Market from Seventh Street will be forced off at Sixth." - scott anderson

There's a Reason RSSCloud Failed to Catch On - http://workbench.cadenhead.org/news...
"However, there's a reason that UserLand turned off cloud support in its products several years ago and shut down all of its cloud notification servers. The approach has massive scaling and firewall issues." - scott anderson
+1 pubsubhubbub + XMPP ... All those flash-based twitter clients/aggregators are not going to be able to fully support rssCloud because they cannot be converted to http servers. - scott anderson
I don't think this debate is really about the speed of the stream. Twitter and FriendFeed both expose followers which provide for a more efficient feedback loop. RSS/Atom subscriptions are mostly anonymous. There's no need to add complexity to this simple polling technology when we have other solutions like XMPP that are better suited to complement pubsub with support for notifications. - scott anderson
I'm thinking it's about time for a reboot. Don't need any more motivation. Just need to focus on getting the energy piece in place.
Watched the start of the Gillmor Gang stream. Too much promotion, not enough analysis. Steve should reform the gang circa 2005.

Saw the last part of the rerun. I do concede that Loren and Scoble debating the legitimacy of Twitter as a news source, etc. was more entertaining than Loren pimping his conference. However, it would have been nice to get a sanity check from someone like Dan Farber too. - scott anderson
