I meant to share this as a SaturdayFF post but all of a sudden it's not Saturday anymore. I was at the bakery (don't look so shocked) a couple of weeks ago. Ob-la-di ob-la-da was playing (Mary had the Beatles mix going). I was singing along as I paid my bill. The guy next to me said, "Great song but do you know what album it's from?"

He looked a little exasperated. "Yes, this is a Beatles song, but do you know which Beatles album it's from?" And then, as if there was no hope for me in this world, he playfully tapped my shoulder and said, "It's Abbey Road."

His eyes widened to the size of saucers, or maybe I was just looking forward to drinking my coffee. He croaked, "You're right."

"You picked the wrong guy to challenge in Beatles trivia," I said, politely.

He even told his wife about it. He said, "I tried to challenge that guy on what Beatles song was playing and he SCHOOLED me!" She looked at me and smiled. Then she looked back at him with a look that I interpreted to mean, "Really? Again?"
