So I'm setting a new keyboard and thought I'd ask an odd question. Do you prefer to put the feet out on your keyboard or leave it flat on the desk. (For those interested, I had to get a second keyboard as the mechanical MX Blue keyboard I had was too loud while my wife was broadcasting and recording videos. The sacrifices! :P)
I put the feet down on the keyboard. - Tamara J. B.
I don't have a choice with the Apple wireless keyboard. I liked the feet up with the old school IBM keyboards. With chiclet keyboards, not so much. - Rodfather
up, edit wait i mean down. The feet are extended. :) - Steve C, Team Marina
Flat. All the time, forever. - Anika
Flat. Also, I like split ergonomic keyboards. Also also, MS's "Natural 4000" has an optional piece that produces an inverse tilt (the closer side of the keyboard is higher than the far side). I've never used that, but I can see how it might be good. - Andrew C (✔)
Apparently most of the people in my old office liked the "feet" because the second anyone stopped working there, the feet would get snatched to replace broken ones. Sometimes the whole keyboard would get swapped, but they had inventory IDs. - m9m, Crone of FriendFeed
it depends on the keyboard. - Big Joe Silenced
I'm a "feet extended" person. I wonder which is better for flat keyboard. The ergonomic ones are a different breed but I did like the one I used forever long ago. (Not sure what ever really happened to it.) - That's So CAJ!
I built a 1 inch LEGO row to sit under my Mac keyboard to get it at a higher angle. I learnt on old scalloped clackity IBM keyboards and I can't type flat well. - Johnny
Flat (feet in). - LB ❤s FF, esp. YOU
For my ergonomic setup at work I have to have the feet down to get the appropriate angle on the keyboard versus angle on my keyboard tray versus height of my chair/arms. I got so used to this that I keep the feet down on all my keyboards at home, with the except of the gaming keyboards, which typically come with an angled design that mimics having the feet down anyway. - Hookuh Tinypants
Feet deployed. Absolutely. - bentley
My (old as the hills) MS Natural wireless keyboard has just enough slope without the feet; tried 'em once, didn't feel the need. - walt crawford
Straight keyboard, flat, and turned at a 45° angle, with the left side pointing towards me. - April Russo (FForever!)
Depends on the keyboard, but mostly flat. - John (bird whisperer)
Feet out. I'm used to the slight tilt. - rønin
Feet out. I need that tilt. - Steven Perez
Feet out. :) - Jenny H.
My keyboards are standing tall. - Eivind
