Hannah: it's incredibly sad for all of the people of that country. The women are the victims, but that kind of breakdown of behavioral norms is a symptom of a severely damaged society.

Bren: the issue is that billions of dollars and many other efforts have been put in order to promote peace in the area... the point is that clearly they have a long way to go... despite everything different things need to be done and several parties are at fault...

Some of the blame should be placed on the rapists, I would think. Were the hundreds of men organized, working together as a team? If so, was raping the primary purpose of the organization, or was there another purpose the organizaton was supposedly created to serve? Or was it just an extremely high number of independently acting raptists?
