I tried to go to sleep early-ish last night but then was a a rather long burst of fireworks at 12:30 AM. It seems that today Easter and "Greekster" coincide. Spoke to My Kid just now; it was the Greek Orthodox church in her neighborhood, a mile away, celebrating at a midnight service.
I said if it was that loud here, it must have been pretty bad at her house, 2 streets from the church. Susannah said "the cats were...startled."

Often the 2 Easters are on different dates and we have to remember that parking in her neighborhood will be tricky on Orthodox Easter.
