Jayden's having an EEG done Tuesday and tomorrow his hair has to be washed and we can't put any product in it, conditioner or grease or anything. Do you have any idea what it's gonna be like trying to comb through a giant, dry, crunchy afro with no product? *sigh*
I guess it's the wrong time of year for a shaved-close haircut... I hope the EEG produces good news. - Spidra Webster
I'll comb it out for him while it's wet but that'll only help so much. - Starmama
I can't afford haircuts most months. He wants big hair but does a shitty job taking care of it. So I've mostly given up. You wanna walk around looking crazy, fine. - Starmama
How about a blowout then cornrows? That's how I worked my hair with no product. - Anika
I do not own a blow dryer. I cannot braid. - Starmama
Normally he washes his hair every week but two or three times a month, I comb it out while it's wet then when it's dry use some moisturizer and comb it out again. Then he's responsible for combing it every day, which he does haphazardly and only with much fussing from his mom. - Starmama
Nah, he'd never use it and I'm not tying to do anything extra, lol. I haven't used one in nearly 20 years. - Starmama
What he really needs is his mom to find a boyfriend who owns good clippers and gives free haircuts without scraping up foreheads & necks lmao - Starmama
No, the shampooing isn't the problem, it's the combing out. And it would leave residue right? We want th leads to stick to his scalp, which is why they tell us clean hair no product. - Starmama
Really the worst part is going to be staying at the hospital five hours paying for parking and not having anything to do while I wait. And entertaining J between the end of the test and the Dr appt to talk about the results. - Starmama
The next time he gets this done, it will probably be at an adult facility. I will miss going to Children's. Like, seriously. They've saved his life several times and we're fortunate to have them in our community. - Starmama
