I have no money. If you consider my credit cards, I have less than no money. And yet I feel incredibly wealthy. The more time passes, the more I agree: mo' money, mo' problems.
That's a good outlook to have, Lo. :) - Jenny
So many things, like people & experiences, can't be bought for any sum of money, and unlike money don't come and go so quickly. I'm lucky to have lots of both! - Lo
This afternoon I was driving home from Tallahassee, listening to the Skatalites, and wondering if I've ever been this (sustainably) happy. It's so nice, especially after so many years of wondering if life was even worth it. - Lo
Jason, I hear stories like that all the time, and this year it finally sunk in. I also heard a lot of "I wish I could pursue my dreams, but I can't because I earn a lot of money." People seem to think that more money will give them more freedom, and yet the opposite seems to be the case more often. Once you have enough money to eat/meet basic needs, it seems like more can be a burden rather than a blessing. - Lo
in the same boat I am just glad we have some oars - VALZONE#SCREWED
Amen to that, Val. There is definitely a line of poverty beneath which money really does bring happiness. I am lucky to have never been at that point. But a couple years ago I had plenty of money, and was miserable. This is way better, though stressful at times. - Lo
and I promise not to rock the boat =} - VALZONE#SCREWED
You can rock it a little. I know how to swim.:D Sometimes I think if I had kids, I'd try to force them to spend at least a few months living on the edge of homelessness with no apparently security net... it sucked, but ever since I'm a lot less scared of insecurity. - Lo
