I believe it, but it's kind of crazy to me that the average amount of TV watched daily is 2-2.5 hours, especially since most of the people I know probably average somewhere between 0-1 hours, meaning people elsewhere are picking up the slack.

When I was younger I spent most of my free time watching TV. So easily picking up your slack and for a few others.

Dario, I did too, but I had the impression that kids these days watch a lot less TV than before since they have all these other digital distractions (video games, computers/tablets, etc.).

I never watch TV! - *goes home and turns on the Giants game for 4 hours straight* - Ok, maybe I watch TV. Do they distinguish between actively watching TV and having ESPN/news/random sports on in the background? Because, that would move me from the <1 hour per day category into the >4 hours per day category.
