The team is definitely working hard to bring it to more countries -- Vodafone is expected in the future for Europe. But right now, it's available for purchase in the US and may also be shipped to UK, Hong Kong, and Singapore -- the keyboard and display are available in the languages specified at http://www.google.com/support...

Singapore isn't an African wasteland, Peng-Toh, it's just a small and relatively unimportant Asian city-state. There's a cost to enter any given national market, and small countries like Singapore and Lesotho just aren't as high priority.
