Perspective. That's what it boils down to. A matter of perspective. I still read a number of blogs on FreeThoughtBlogs. Ed Brayton (occasionally), Rock Beyond Belief, Mano Singham, and even Greta Christina. I read Greta's blog because she will write about sex and sex-positivity - topics I find interesting. But I have to admit to not being overly charitable toward Ms. Christina lately. She had a cancer scare recently and this led her to having an hysterectomy for stage 1 cancer. Coupled with her father dieing recently, she's experiencing a bit of depression. Fine. I get that. But then my mind starts to lean toward a matter of perspective. While taking care of my father for a number of years, I dealt with depression and other mental issues. I get it. I understand how the mind can work against you in these sorts of situations. However, I don't get how people make it a focal point. I especially don't get how someone can publicly moan about being so depressed that getting a manicure or... - Renee Hendricks
