Sure friendfeed can be used to blog: the post is the teaser, the first comment is the body ("more after the jump" (I hate calling it "the jump", especially when it doesn't conditionally appear if I'm actually viewing it on the blog's site)) ;)

Well, Robert could only put photos into the post, not into comments. And friendfeed limits name dropping to two per post also.

Andy, that's just a hack, though. Having to claim the first few comments by quickly putting in dashes or whatever is just dumb.

I never suggested that. People would know that comments other than the poster's were not continuations. And you could always just delete other people's comments if you were anal. Or you could compose somewhere else and paste it all in and beat these other commenters. That being said, FF is not a blogging platform, and I wouldn't really read a blog that was "hosted" here. This isn't the right kind of platform for long form anyway.
