Michael, a friend who had cancer asked one friend to be the go-to for updates, news, well wishes, etc., because it really is exhausting answering everyone's questions, hearing their concerns, soothing them and yourself (not that these things aren't done out of love and concern). Before you're into your treatment, you might want to talk about this w/ a friend or family member who might fill this role for you. - Ayşe E.
That's an excellent idea since I have no idea how I'll be feeling in the coming weeks and months. Thanks! - Michael McKean
My husband just went through treatment for leukemia, and he blogged his way through the experience. Some days he couldn't do it, but when he did it was wonderful for everyone involved. It was theraputic for him and a great way to keep those at a distance informed. And it kept me from having to update people constantly. And good luck with everything. I know it won't be easy, but you have a lot of positive thoughts with you. Hold on to them. - Jen (SquirrelGirl)
I've been telling everyone to go to Twitter or FF if they want updates. It makes it easy to let people know what's up quickly. - Michael McKean
I am sorry that you are going through this - RAPatton
Don't be! :) Life has its ups and downs. I thank God that I am alive. I have a new appreciation for my own life and the lives of others. And all of you have helped out tremendously! - Michael McKean
