When I was at a karaoke party a couple of weeks ago, I didn't have the courage to sing. So tonight, when I was at a smaller gathering (interestingly enough, in the same neighborhood), I decided to practice overcoming my self-consciousness, and I sang. My friends said I had a lovely voice, but I felt I was all over the place.
