A woman in one of my running groups just posted the following: "OMG, my 15 year old son just told me he's a Brony, what is this, should I be worried? He now wants to come out to his classmates. I fear it's social suicide."
I will fully admit, I facepalmed and headdesked for a good five minutes before responding...

The nice thing is...aside from a few people going "Well that's just weird"...everyone in the group is like "I don't understand the problem here. He sounds like a confident guy and who cares if he likes MLP?" Both men and women. It's refreshing to read. :)

Also, if you haven't guessed by now, I'm a female Brony. :) But that's beside the point.

I feel bad that I laughed.

Quickly looks up Brony...kind of disappointed, I was expecting something spicier

My son's music teacher is a Brony. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Oh don't feel bad that you laughed. I did too. I also keep mentally swapping out "Brony" with "gay" because that is what this kind of reaction reminds me of. I'm like...woman, perspective. Get some. It's great.
