You could pause the feed prior to looking through it then when you have gone far enough, go back to page 1 and resume the feed. - travispuk

Travis: the home feed isn't realtime on the iPhone. That's Phill's problem. By the time he's got to page 2, page 1's content has moved to page 2. Just sticking to page 1 is the only worthwhile way of using the iPhone version I think. - Martin Bryant
