I choose to believe that when Data said "operations per second" he didn't mean FLOPS (via Cracked) http://www.cracked.com/photopl...
For fun, I wanted to see if anyone had tried to compare the processing power of the human brain to a CPU. According to the first hit on Google, the human brain is estimated to be able to perform in the petaflop to exaflop range. "It seems reasonable to conclude that the human brain has a raw computational power between 10^13 and 10^16 operations per second." http://www.merkle.com/brainLi... - Victor Ganata
