Yay! Six months of chronic Achilles issues and finally got my butt to the doctor for a formal diagnosis. Thankfully it is only tendinitis as I'd hoped and the doctor is sending me to physical therapy. But the best part of all...........I CAN KEEP RUNNING! Don't even have to stop for PT. :)

So glad it is just tendonitis! I hope they've got you back feeling better soon.

The best part is that my doctor is also a runner. So he didn't reprimand me for still running races and working out while injured. He's like "Yeah, you can't tell runners they can't do something. That's pretty much daring them to do it." I'm just glad that there is a point where I can actually run and work out pain-free again.

Nice! I had some peroneal problems two weeks ago. It was painful enough to keep me from taking my walks which bummed me out, but the first thought I had was, "Damn. There are some crazy ass runners who would push through this because RUN." Just out of curiosity, what kind of pronator are you?
- AHnix (Anna Haro)
I'm a slight overpronator, but it hasn't affected my gait or my foot strike thankfully. I'm also out-toed, something that frustrates my trainer since it means my foot cannot stay in a parallel position during lunges and other exercises that don't call for foot turnout. That hasn't seemed to have an effect on my pronation or gait but it does give me a little IT band trouble now and then if I don't roll and stretch properly after a run. At this point the only pain that would keep me from running would probably be a broken bone somewhere below the belt. Aside from that, I will run through anything. Especially if it's a race. Having a high threshold for pain has its benefits. LOL
