I commented "thank goodness we don't live in a country where Americans are innocent until proven guilty" (which is meant to be two-pointed - one, that an American is an American, no matter what crimes they're accused of, and, two, that he's been accused, not convicted). On a mostly unrelated note, I wonder why they made the decision not to give Canary special powers. At first, I assumed it was because they weren't planning on anyone in that universe having super powers, but then they introduced the mirakuru and then spun off The Flash. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE

Thought about this earlier then forgot to respond - I kind of hope that they will eventually have Black Canary gain that talent (through some sort of accident/crossover.) They had Sarah use tech, but I'd still like it as an ability. - Jennifer Dittrich

Thing 1 worked for Sonic over the summer (and is technically still an employee); Thing 2 worked for Sonic for about 3 weeks. Neither of them received their W2s. Thing 1 only got her W2 this week because I made her call & inquire about it, and she had to go pick it up. Thing 2 hasn't done that yet (and, being that he's no longer an employee, they darn sure should have mailed it by now). - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE

The ex filed her taxes around mid-February, and received a new W2 at the end of Feb/beginning of March from a former employer. She actually quit working there in Dec. 2013, but, apparently, they paid her once in 2014, so she was issued a W2. She wasn't expecting it, which is why she initially filed her taxes without it. After getting a refund, now she has to amend her taxes & send money back to both state & federal. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE

I'm still waiting on a bunch of 1099s, but plan to file my taxes without them (I'm reporting the income that will be shown on them, I just won't have their official business names or their employer ID numbers to put on my taxes). Since I won't have their EINs, I can't electronically file; I'll have to mail my return. - COMPLICATED MR. NOODLE

Oh, there are repercussions - they are way more likely to get audited if you report it. That said, they do encourage people to call the employer (or former employer) before filing. You can file a different form (they have details on the site) if the employer fails to get you one before the tax filing date. - Jennifer Dittrich
