Blackwing Pencils | Blackwing pencils are back. - http://blackwingpencils.com/...
"The Blackwing pencil was introduced in the 1930′s by Eberhard Faber and was the pencil of choice for Oscar, Grammy, and Pulitzer Prize winners throughout the 20th century. After it was discontinued in the 1990′s, fans began paying as much as $40 per pencil to seize unused stock. In 2010, Palomino, whose industry roots were planted over a century ago, revived the Blackwing to much critical acclaim." - CAJ was here
I'm trying to decide if I use pencils enough to justify getting a $22 box of 12 from Amazon or not. Soooo tempting. - CAJ was here
Nope. You should get a box for me! :P - Sir Shuping is just sir
Alas, no purchase yet. I am trying out some new general use pens, though. http://www.amazon.com/gp... - CAJ was here

Optionally, you just Do The Damn Thing. (Phrase trademark MoTO, used with unspecified permission) - CAJ was here
#SaturdayFF I've recently discovered what my personal theme for 2015 is going to be: "Do. The. Work." Simple enough, right? I noticed that I had become fairly lackadaisical in some life tasks and was tending towards "I'll do that later" reactions for too many things. Hopefully, my first thought will now be "Do. The. Work." and I Do The Damn Thing.
foc.us take charge - tdcs - tdcs devices available to buy - http://www.foc.us/
"foc.us is a consumer transcranial stimulator. It is designed to produce a very small electrical current suitable for stimulating parts of the brain via electrodes. By targeting different parts of the brain with electricity you can change the way that part of the brain responds, temporarily. There have been hundreds of different studies conducted at universities around the world with some amazing results. Studies often use novel electrode placements or different electrical current profiles such as alternating current or random noise current. foc.us is designed to give you access to these options in a safe easy to use device." - That's So CAJ!

This Minute Maid apple juice box says "100% Juice" followed by "from concentrate with added ingredients". <sigh> I guess 99.5% juice just doesn't have the same ring to it.
.@subway forces me to get my Meatball sub "Fresh Toasted" if I order online. I don't like it that way so I can't use their online ordering.
It really doesn't save that much time and the options aren't all that. Panera has a GREAT online ordering site. - That's So CAJ!
Are You Emotionally Intelligent? Here’s How to Know for Sure | Dr. Travis Bradberry | LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/pulse...
"When emotional intelligence (EQ) first appeared to the masses, it served as the missing link in a peculiar finding: people with average IQs outperform those with the highest IQs 70% of the time. This anomaly threw a massive wrench into the broadly held assumption that IQ was the sole source of success." - That's So CAJ!
How accurate this is or isn't I can't say. I do wonder if you can have a negative score (based on the ideas in the article). - That's So CAJ!
John Oliver delivers a pissed-off eulogy for Radio Shack - http://mashable.com/2015...
"Jokes at Radio Shack's demise have hit a nerve with Last Week Tonight host John Oliver. On the show's return after a nearly three-month break, Oliver picked apart comments poking fun at the 94-year-old electronics retailer's bankruptcy. Comparing it to laughing at an elderly relative, Oliver offered Radio Shack a free commercial, ready to air." - That's So CAJ!

As terrible food pranks go, there's really only a couple I want to pull off in my lifetime. The first is to make carmel-coated onions. The reaction of someone chomping down on that combo would be hilarious (to me). The second is to mix Skittles and M@Ms in a bowl so that it's not obvious which are which. I can't imagine what that would taste like.
Oh, apparently adding Reese's Pieces to the second one increases the torture/hilarity. Muahahahahaha!!! - That's So CAJ!
The second one doesn't sound that bad to me. I'd do it on a simple 'dare ya to' if everything was in front of me. But the first? :||| - AHnix (Anna Haro)
Maybe I'll make the Skittles the sour ones so it really messes with things. lol - That's So CAJ!

Random fun personalized VA plate: (see http://friendfeed.com/iphwin...)
I wonder what people would think if you get a Tesla, Prius or other no/low emission vehicle and get this plate (in Virginia). And what message to put? You only get six letters (including spaces). So "lolnope" won't fit. :D
Also, disappointed you can't personalize an Armed Services Veteran plate. - That's So CAJ!

I'm sure my wife thinks I'm crazy but I'm watching Doctor Who from the beginning. I'm currently watching Season 3 via reconsructions. It's interesting to see what video still exists and how there are appropriate still images to fill in.
Where are you watching it? I was watching the DVDs mfpow had, but I left before I finished the Second Doctor. Edit: Before the age of DVD, I had watched all then-existing episodes on nth-generation VHS. - bentley

Justin Kan’s The Drop Is Product Hunt For Music | TechCrunch - http://techcrunch.com/2015...
"Music, music everywhere, but what song should I pick? Dance music fans have it particularly tough when it comes to discovery. Spotify’s 100% legal catalogue lacks tons of cool, unofficial remixes and mixsets, while SoundCloud’s limited curation make sorting through the jumble of sporadically released tracks a chore. If only someone would build a Digg/Reddit/Hacker News/Product Hunt for electronic dance music. Well someone did. Twitch/Exec co-founder and Y Combinator partner Justin Kan tells me “I wanted something to create a constant stream of new electronic music tracks every day.” It’s called The Drop." - That's So CAJ!
Well, this could be fairly exciting. Out of the blue, I got an email from a company looking to hire a NOC Manager for their expanding business. And more interestingly, they're looking for someone more process-oriented than technically-oriented. Which is good as the company specializes in SIP Trunking services which I had not heard of before...cont.
...that first email. Basically, they saw my resume and my background of former military and ITIL and thought it'd be worth contacting me. After a decently long initial conversion with their VP of Network Engineering and Operations it appears they're just at the point where they want to grow and need some middle management to assist in keeping the smart guys in line so the VPs can focus on the business side. - CAJ was here
bad fit == good reason to turn it down. - Aloof Schipperke
Random discussion at work about lineage and family background resulted in me poking around about my maternal grandfather. I knew that "Curtis" came from him and that's what he went by. What I didn't know is that it was actually his middle name! So maybe that's why my parents always called me by my middle name? Best reason so far anyway.
I will never ever understand how if you're late to work exactly the same amount every day you do not adjust your schedule so that you arrive ON FREAKING TIME. Especially after its pointed out to you. Several times.
Well, fortunately(?) is aware of these folks and some straightening up will need to happen before they don't have a job to come to. In my mind, if you can't do the simple things how can we trust you with the big ones. :) - That's So CAJ!
My husband's like that and he has to punch a clock. I don't get it. I would've been fired 1.5 years ago if I came in 20 - 60 min. late everyday. - Anika
I used to be 30 mins late every Sunday morning, when I worked at the airport. It was unavoidable. I was getting up at 4am, walking 2 miles to catch the first bus leaving my town, changing buses twice, to end up getting there at 7:30am (was supposed to be there at 7 to unlock the office). Every other day of the week had an earlier bus that could get me there on time. - April Russo (FForever!)
