Holding down the "so" in social media has brought me to the conclusion I feel I need more encouragement and peer resonance than I'm capable of engendering.
At Dad's on Christmas Eve. We got a pleasant, respectable snowfall, which the warm ground was nice enough to melt away for us. - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
Oh noes! Something cold and wet is falling from the SKY!
Very excited to learn that one of the best all-time live bands will be performing on my birthday next week!! If you're in the Westport KCMO area the evening of 12/29, stop by Californo's and check out The Black Crack Revue with us! It's gonna be a party!! http://www.pitch.com/events...
For some reason, the not-so-Christmassy melody from "Danse Macabre" has been the tune stuck in my head since last nite. Ho ho ho anyway! #fb
But in all fairness, it's not the main theme, but a back theme the cellos carry that pops out once and a while...which, now that I think of it, might be just a _little_ Christmassy. - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
Two years running now LAX terminals 5 & 6 have no free WiFi, and AT&T's 3G service works just well enough to drain my battery in 2 hours.
Let the Holiday begin! En route to LAX, then on to Kansas City for the rest of the year!
Jealous! That's what we were supposed to do. - Anika
The snow has already started, from what I hear, altho the original forecast for today was near 50. Looks like this rain we're getting is moving on east. Hopefully, we won't get dumped on like last year, when Mom & I were snowed-in for a couple days! - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
There's a whole ringtone/MMS culture out there I guess I just don't get at all. They kind of remind me of CB radio people for some reason.
Post-structuralism explained. Finally. This really clears things up. http://vimeo.com/17431354
Nice. - Anika
Wow, 81 degrees already and not even 11am yet. Nice the weather decided to cooperate with Sunday Funday at the beach. C'mon down! #venice

The first time I heard this was on Andy Summers' album "The Golden Wire". He covered this very well, as it turns out! Still having a hard time stumbling across the English translation for the lyrics tho. Google just acts like it's in a Bing advert. - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
If only I knew someone who spoke Hindi... - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
Well, maybe some of the Hindi speakers here might come to your rescue. In the meantime, here's the synopsis of the film: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... - Spidra Webster
Thanks, Spidra :-) - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
Did I miss something?
Was tryIng to watch the Victoria's Secret show, but then Katy Scerry came on and I had to turn away.
Has anyone brought up how creepy it seems that total strangers will be looking at the children going through the body scanners? #fb
Just seems weird the scare-mongering media hadn't played that card yet. Maybe they were saving it for the Big Holiday Season.  - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
I'll tell you what isn't happening right now -- my laundry.
But I am making headway getting all my media corraled on to one 2TB drive, FWIW - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
Are you sure we turned the clocks in the right direction? It looks like mid-afternoon and it's not even lunch time yet. #fb

iPhone and iPod touch: About backups -- Where backups are stored. - http://support.apple.com/kb...
"The folder where your backup data is stored changes depending on the computer's operating system. Since iTunes only keeps one backup per device, you should ensure the backup folder is included in your periodic data backup routine. iTunes places the backup files in the following places: Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP,  Windows Vista and Windows 7)." - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
Yeah, I know it's only a pencil, but those ones you keep taking are mine, and the ones you keep trying to give me are I don't know what.
Wow, I find it fascinating that to some people, "Uh Huh" and "Huh Uh" sound exactly the same when spoken. That could cause real trouble. #fb
No one seems surprised to learn that "four" is _not_ the UK English spelling of the word "for". #howtoendasentencewithapreposition #fb
Hurricane Tomas Flood Response; Episode 2 - http://vimeo.com/17099860
This is narrated by my Godson, Paul Raddant who looks a little more wooly than the last time I saw him, but it's great to see and hear him. He's been in Haiti for 7 months helping first with the earthquake response relief, and now with the hurricane response. It will be great to see him when he comes home for Christmas. - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
My brother just texted me that he's springing Mom from the care center tomorrow and getting some visting nurse thing set up so she can go home. Personally, I think it's a few days early, but I'm back in L.A. again and he's there. I know she'll be happier at home, just hope she can keep going with the PT that's been really helping her get better.
Yo Gabba Gabba Live "There's a Party in my City" tour at Savemart Center Fresno! http://www.youtube.com/watch...
The last few times I've called Mom at the care center, she's had friends visiting with her. This makes me very happy :-)
Just 'cause two weather forecasts said it was going to rain all weekend, I picked up a copy of Just Cause 2 on the way home. Oh yeah. #fb
There really should be a CS5 Premium Suite upgrade plus WiFi iPad package for under US$700, don't you think? #justputtingitoutthere
David Byrne - Knee Plays (6 of 10) - Song of the Sea Shore - http://www.youtube.com/watch...
The music in this is named "Theodora Is Dozing" on the Knee Plays album. It's melody is the song from the Mysterious Bulgarian Voices album entitled, "Polegnala E Todora" (Theodora Has Lied Down [sic]). A very catchy old-world folk sound with tasty harmonies. - ɐ ɯıʞ sıɹɥɔ
