The music in this is named "Theodora Is Dozing" on the Knee Plays album. It's melody is the song from the Mysterious Bulgarian Voices album entitled, "Polegnala E Todora" (Theodora Has Lied Down [sic]). A very catchy old-world folk sound with tasty harmonies.

While her recovery hasn't been fast enough to suit her, it has been steady enough to be very encouraging, and hopeful for release back to her own home in a week or so (with visiting nurse support for as long as she needs it). My role this week...

It really helped that the staff at the facility she's in all seem sincerely caring and compassionate. The facility itself could use some more staff and better equipment. Like beds that don't need to be hand-cranked, for instance.

Well I can certainly see why people out here in the sticks would be compelled to jailbreak, altho if it's just to receive the same kind of service readily available elsewhere, it seems like it shouldn't count as "jailbreaking". I can turn the 3G & WiFi off just fine -- it's speedy service that I'm missing here.

More good Mom news: the doctor spoke with her this morning, and there's no sign the cancer spread anywhere else! Hallelujah!! And, they're already starting her on solid food, sort of (tapioca, blech, but she likes it). Also, they're saying she may be released by Tuesday! WOW!! Thanks again for everyone's prayers, good thoughts & well-wishes!!
Pathology, back and all is good. No chemo or radiation. Catheter & drain tube coming out today.

This just in: Mom's surgery a success. 24 hrs in ICU then 5-7 days hospital convalescence with expectation of uneventful recovery. Thank you all again and again for your prayers, good thoughts and well-wishes. May you all be as richly and deeply blessed as my family today and always. Love to you all.
