This is another shot from Yellowstone accompanied by a little video I shot with my Flip video camera. It’s not a high quality camera, and it’s awfully shaky. Sorry for that. "Piecing together 3000 individual photographs, a physicist has made a new high-resolution panoramic image of the full night sky, with the Milky Way galaxy as its centerpiece. Axel Mellinger, a professor at Central Michigan University, describes the panorama: "This panorama image shows stars 1000 times fainter than the human eye can see, as well as hundreds of galaxies, star clusters and nebulae," Mellinger said. Mellinger spent 22 months and traveled over 26,000 miles to take digital photographs at dark sky locations in South Africa, Texas and Michigan." - Michael Fidler

Thanks everyone. As a final note, if you want to see something which demonstrates how tall this building is; then take a look at the most recent photos. The link is on the upper left-hand side of the page. Often a photographer can get away with taking a picture when their camera isn’t perfectly level, but this building is so tall (usually stretching from one end of the frame to the other), that if the camera is even slightly off its level, then it is very noticeable in the picture. There are endless examples of this on the most recent pictures page. Some of them make it look like the successor to the leaning tower of Pisa. - Michael Fidler
