I know I've said this before (and will probably say it again in the future) BUT...if I spent the time I waste on avoiding tasks to actually complete them, I suspect I'd end up with more free time than I know what to do with. And by "free" I mean not having any task looming, deadlines that need meeting or similar. What a simple life that would be!

I hate that that the words "I don't understand how/why..." come out of my mouth related to so many many things here at work. Primarily, it's a terrible lack of communication and organization. Latest fiasco? Ordering company fleeces. Simple task, right? Let's verify who's in the company and send them an email? Nope, that would be too easy...
...let's send a message to the All_Company email address for people to fill out a surveymonkey form without verifying that everyone is on that mail list. Perfect! And then, let's not have a plan to distribute them to people who don't work Monday - Friday daytime hours. <sigh>

I don't know if it's user or system limitation but some of the most annoying problems I get in email end with "Sent from my iPad"

I'm not sure what the hell I was doing when this picture was taken on Christmas Day but it certainly looks like the awkward "candid" photo they were going for. Also, this is my inspiration for 2015 to take better care of myself. I'm not going to get on a scale because I know I won't like the number. And dang do I need a haircut!
Didn't bring lunch to work. Now to decide what pizza to order as I don't actually want to leave and drive somewhere. Who's got a two-button mouse and is lazy? :) I'm going to order from Flippin' Pizza but only because Naked Pizza doesn't deliver. I'm not in the mood for Dominos or Pizza Hut (although a PH pan pizza is tempting).
So, it's creeping up on that time of the year where we tell ourselves sweet little lies about our plans for the coming year. I've recently decided that I will try to accept that there are things I have no control over and so should not stress out about them. (Red traffic lights are not conspiring to make me late. Bad planning on my part does that.)
What's one thing that you are planning to do (or not do) in the coming year?

So I'm setting a new keyboard and thought I'd ask an odd question. Do you prefer to put the feet out on your keyboard or leave it flat on the desk. (For those interested, I had to get a second keyboard as the mechanical MX Blue keyboard I had was too loud while my wife was broadcasting and recording videos. The sacrifices! :P)

And now waiting to see if I might be fired at work. Okay, probably not but the fact I can think about it is scary. Event happened that could have negative revenue influence happened on my watch this weekend. While no one has ever been fired that I'm aware of, the event could be a big deal. I'm worried but mostly frustrated that it happened.

That's great that you brought a level-headed solution to the situation (and also great that no one was fired). I've been in a similar situation and you sometimes just have to let that initial wave of panic wash over you, then focus on the fix and prevention.

Just caught myself doing the four tap pattern that The Master was doing in Doctor Who. It made me wonder if you do something very unique like that in public, how long would it take before someone recognized it for what it was.

And 16 hours is quickly becoming 18. Love when crap hits the fan at work on the day there's a gap in supervisor coverage.
#SaturdayFF I think I've just decided that I don't have a problem with procrastination. I'm just lazy...but with a bit of perfectionist on the end. So I put off doing something until I have to rush and/or half-ass it which makes me not even want to do it since it'll end up not be as good as it should be. I would like to thank my brain for this.
It appears my brain must be trying to sabotage me by setting up these situations.
