I don't do people pictures either, I have 4 family (kid) pictures up in public places in the house. Two are 10 years old. Im fairly positive this only means I don't decorate with photos of kids. I'm super sure it has no reflection on how I care for and love the kids in my life. I did add a fraking awful school shot of my nephew cos he asked me why i didnt have it displayed. I guess he loves it and wants to see it around. So for him, I leaned it up against some books. Maybe when your kids can ask Granny "how come the picture of me isn't where I can see it" you'll get the response your looking for.
And I'm a photographer, my favorite people to make photos of are kids. Go figure.

You can avoid having to cut a hole in the middle of the cake by using a doll pick meant for a cake. This is the one I did 22 years ago, for my daughter's 3rd birthday: http://appsapps.info/blog...

One of my childhood friend's mom did at home day care. She made doll cakes for the girls and just popped the legs off a Barbie.

Awww....Sarah in her room....*melts* My kids aren't twins, but they've shared a room for 4 years. They fall apart at the idea that the other won't be in the same room with them for much longer.

I like the "bow-tie bunny" cakes. They are much larger and you can eat the ears. You bake 4 layers. Stack and frost 2 as a normal layer cake. The other 2 you cut to make the ears and bow-tie using a pattern similar to this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u... (trace your cake pan and make your own) Then assemble the whole thing like this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u... Frost the whole thing, putting some pink in the center of his ears. Give him a face with some candy, and decorate his bow tie.

The picture is one of several on the cover of a Book of M0rmon board book in the twins room. The other day Matthew points to it and says, "Look mommy, Jesus play... - http://www.thegrayeffect.com/2011...
