Plus I would imagine that any new member would contribute writing to the record. A lot of people have deluded themselves into thinking that Tom's manager, Rick Devoe, has gone rogue and told Mark/Travis that Tom was quitting when he wasn't actually quitting. In reality, Tom and Rick are likely in very close communication and Rick is only doing what Tom is telling him to do (with Rick's input, I'm sure). I highly doubt Rick is behind this break up. From everything that Tom said it sounds like he wanted his cake and to eat it too; he wanted to be able to whatever he wanted with AVA and have blink-182 wait around until it fit into his schedule..which could have been never. I wonder if Tom ever thought they'd kick him out of blink. He's probably pretty upset about it. But it will take time and probably won't happen in 2015, due to all of Tom's commitments. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mark and Travis do a new album and tour with Skiba, then Tom comes back in at some point later in the future.
