While I am most definitely not a practicing Catholic anymore, I still join in observing certain things with my family as a show of solidarity. While the rest of the family fasts during Lent, I take the lenient road and just give something up. This year I have no idea what to give up. I have less than 24 hours to figure it out. Hm.
MAN would say he's an atheist but he too will give something up for Lent. He likes the idea.

We recently acquired a young woman in our new crop of engineering recruits, and the young male engineers sent her in here to ask me my age because nobody could figure out how old I am and it's apparently been driving them crazy for a few years now. LOL

So for our anniversary celebrations here at work, once we reach 20 years, we are given the option to do whatever we want for our celebration in lieu of the normal luncheon. The only limitation is budget. Everyone keeps trying to push me to do a fancy dinner at Bridges. I want to do a roller skating party. They're surprised by this......
I am grateful for HONY because no matter what's going on in my day - be it good, bad, or otherwise - the daily posts never fail to put it all into perspective. Makes me wish I'd had this when I was growing up. <3
